About this site
A single-purpose tool: type text, get it back in every cursive style Unicode can express, copy it.
What it does
cursivefontgenerator.pro converts ordinary text into the cursive-looking characters of the Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block — 12 styles built from the light and bold script alphabets, with ornaments and combining marks layered on for the decorated variants. Each result has a copy button, a compatibility chip for Instagram, Discord, X, TikTok and screen readers, a favourite toggle and a platform preview. Spoke pages cover single letters, names, script and calligraphy variants, and two guides explain where the characters work and where they come from.
How it works
The whole site is static files. The conversion runs in your browser with a lookup table of Unicode code points; there is no server-side processing and no account. Favourite styles are kept in your browser’s local storage. Share links carry the text in the URL fragment (after the #), which browsers do not send to any server. The privacy page lists the two optional analytics tools and what they do and do not receive.
What it deliberately does not do
- It does not produce images, downloadable fonts or PDFs. The output is text; that is the point.
- It does not claim 100% compatibility. Every card carries a Good / Limited / Poor chip, and screen readers are marked Poor on every style because that is true.
- It does not store, log or transmit what you type.
Who runs it
The site is built and maintained by an independent developer as one of a small family of single-purpose Unicode text tools. It has no staff, no user accounts and no content submitted by visitors. There is nothing to install and no keyboard to authorise — the apps that do the same job on a phone ask for full keyboard access, which means the right to read everything you type, and that is a price this does not charge; every word of the guides and style notes is written and edited by hand for this site, and the character tables are generated from the Unicode code-point ranges rather than copied from another generator. Questions and corrections go to the address on the contact page.
Corrections
Rendering behaviour changes as platforms update their fonts and rules. If a compatibility note here is out of date, or a character renders wrongly on your device, say so and include the device and app — that is the only way the tables stay accurate.
