At most eight added marks per ordinary Latin letter or digit and 240 input characters. Strong effects may be stripped by apps or overlap nearby lines.
A glitch is a stack of marks, not a new font
This effect is often called Zalgo or cursed text. The tool appends marks only to ordinary Latin letters and standalone digits. Existing accents, marked letters, emoji and other languages are preserved; it does not replace their contents with random symbols. Increase the intensity slowly and test a short line before using it in a caption.
Control the direction and keep the pattern stable
Above and Below can be switched independently. Intensity zero leaves the original text unchanged apart from canonical Unicode normalisation. Regenerate chooses another deterministic pattern; otherwise typing the same text with the same controls gives the same result. It adds at most four marks per enabled side, with a 240-character input limit.
Both character and UTF-16 counts are shown because marks increase a string’s storage length even when the base letters are still recognisable. They can collide with other lines or be stripped by an app. The limits bound the work done here; they do not guarantee that a destination app accepts the result.
Undo without deleting someone’s real accents
Remove added glitch switches the effect off while retaining your original input. The Original text result always offers the untouched version. This is safer than guessing which accents were decorative after receiving a string from elsewhere: the page knows exactly what you supplied and what it added.
The normal-text converter can clean many pasted styles, but a mark stack from another generator can contain real accents too. Review its result. For everyday emphasis, choose a short bold fragment or a different alphabet in the fancy comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Can glitch text crash or bypass another app?
This tool is intended for a bounded visual effect, not exploits. Apps may strip marks, clip them or reject the result. Keep the intensity low and do not use it for essential instructions.
Will removing the effect erase my original accents?
Remove added glitch restores this tool’s original input rather than stripping guessed marks from the result. The original version is available to copy at every intensity.
