Where โด comes from
โด is U+2134 SCRIPT SMALL O. It has been in Unicode since version 1.1, in the Letterlike Symbols block. Unicode gives it the alias โorder, of inferior order toโ.
The Mathematical Script alphabet was added in Unicode 3.1. Its position for small o, U+1D4C4, is reserved and cross-referenced to โด instead of holding a character of its own, so the Unicode data sends that position to โด.
Because โด sits in a different Unicode block from ๐ and ๐ (Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols), a font can design it separately, and how closely they match depends on the font. โด takes one UTF-16 unit where ๐ takes two. The Mathematical Bold Script alphabet has no gap at this letter: ๐ธ is U+1D4F8, in sequence with ๐ท and ๐น.
